Kalyani Strategic Systems And Paramount Unveil Simha Four By Four

Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), the wholly owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, and Paramount unveiled the Simha four by four at Eurosatory in Paris on June 16, 2026. The ab initio design was presented as a next generation light armoured multi purpose vehicle developed to meet evolving mobility, protection and mission needs of armed forces in India, Africa, South Asia and other global markets. The launch emphasised the platform's modular architecture and multi role intent.

The vehicle combines power, agility and protection and has been positioned for urban warfare and on and off road reconnaissance. Its modular architecture allows upgrades, customisations and modifications that streamline and optimise supply and maintenance, repair and overhaul lines for operators. The platform was engineered around North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) qualified aggregates and prepared for rapid industrialisation in partner nations after rigorous validation using advanced digital platforms.

Company leaders indicated that the Simha four by four was Europeanised by design and intended to support sovereign production objectives in partner states. The developers framed the vehicle as a capability that would enable nations to build advanced defence industry capacity on their own soil while reducing long term dependence on external supply chains. The programme was described as a fast development effort supported by proven production methodologies to ensure through life support.

The partnership between KSSL and Paramount was presented as an example of strategic industrial cooperation that produces adaptable, mission configurable platforms. Paramount's experience of more than 30 years in armoured vehicle design and KSSL's decade long expertise in metallurgy and advanced manufacturing were cited as complementary strengths. The offering joins a growing portfolio of jointly developed solutions and was positioned to be rapidly industrialised and localised to support national defence industrial development strategies.

"Join industry leaders at RAHSTA Expo, India's premier platform for roads, highways and traffic infrastructure. Register now to explore innovations, network with experts and shape the future of mobility."
