KBL Launches Smart Skid Mounted Fire Pump Set

Kirloskar Brothers Limited has launched its Smart Skid Mounted Fire Pump Set, an integrated fire protection solution designed to improve safety readiness across India’s built environment. The system was inaugurated by Madhuritai Misal, Minister of State for Urban Development, Government of Maharashtra.

The factory-tested solution combines FM/UL-certified motor and engine pump sets with IoT-enabled remote monitoring. It delivers a flow rate of 170 m³/hr at a head of 100 m, supporting reliable fire protection with real-time visibility and predictive maintenance.

The pre-packaged, plug-and-play design reduces the need for extensive civil foundations and skilled on-site labour, helping lower installation time and cost. Built-in safety features and OEM-backed quality assurance further support system reliability.

The solution is powered by KirloSmart Fire, KBL’s IoT-based remote monitoring platform, which enables users to track pump performance from any location. The system can also be integrated with standard fire pump sets and MSMO fire pump sets, depending on project requirements.

The Smart Skid Mounted Fire Pump Set is suitable for commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals, educational institutions, railway stations, warehouses, industrial facilities, housing projects and construction sites. Its retrofit-ready design also makes it useful for space-constrained locations and for upgrading ageing fire protection systems.

KBL said the launch reflects its focus on combining digital intelligence with proven firefighting hardware to support reliable, efficient and future-ready fire safety infrastructure.
