Mindspace Demolishes Hyderabad Buildings in Seconds

Mindspace Business Parks REIT announced that it used implosion technology to demolish two ancient buildings in Hyderabad in six to eight seconds. Mindspace REIT said in a statement that it used "Implosion Technology" to demolish two aging buildings at Mindspace Madhapur. The structures, which had been standing for roughly 18 years, were effectively demolished on Saturday morning, according to the report. "This feat of engineering, saw the buildings being safely and efficiently brought down in just 6-8 seconds, a stark contrast to the traditional demolition process that typically spans 3-4 months?," Mindspace REIT said. On this land tract, the business plans to build additional buildings totaling 1.6 million square feet. The new asset is planned to be finished by the third quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27. "The process of implosion entails the precise placement of explosive materials and the orchestrated timing of their detonation. This technique is employed to ensure that a structure collapses in, on itself, within a matter of seconds, while minimizing any potential physical damage to its immediate surroundings," the statement said. Mindspace Business Parks REIT, situated in Mumbai and sponsored by the K Raheja Corp group, will be launched on the Indian stock exchanges in August 2020. It has offices in the Mumbai Region, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Its portfolio comprises a total leasable area of 32.1 million square feet, with a finished area of 25.9 million square feet.
