NHAI Reviews Delhi-NCR Monsoon Preparedness

NHAI Chairman Shri Santosh Kumar Yadav chaired a high-level review meeting at the authority’s headquarters in New Delhi to assess monsoon preparedness across the Delhi-NCR region. The meeting focused on ensuring smooth traffic flow, preventing waterlogging, strengthening drainage systems, removing encroachments and hoardings, and addressing garbage dumping and waste removal along National Highways ahead of the monsoon season.

The meeting was attended by senior officials including representatives from the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA), Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam, Municipal Corporation Manesar, and district administrations of Faridabad and South West Delhi.

The Chairman reviewed preparedness measures, ongoing maintenance activities, deployment of resources and coordination mechanisms to minimise weather-related disruptions during the monsoon period. The exercise aims to ensure safer and smoother travel across the National Highway network in the Delhi-NCR region.
