Odisha Launches State E-Pavilion On MSME Global Mart

Chief Secretary Anu Garg launched the Odisha State e-Pavilion on MSME Global Mart, a dedicated digital platform designed to give the state’s micro, small and medium enterprises greater visibility and enhanced access to national and international markets. The launch took place in Bhubaneswar with Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, chairman and managing director of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), in attendance. The event followed discussions on collaboration to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Odisha.

Acharya briefed the chief secretary on NSIC flagship initiatives and on central schemes such as the National SC-ST Hub scheme, TEAM Initiative and SRI Fund. Officials said both sides agreed to converge efforts to make Odisha’s MSMEs more competitive and connected to markets. The chief secretary emphasised a whole of government approach to facilitate digital enablement, inclusive procurement and enhanced market access for enterprises.

Officials indicated the State e-Pavilion will act as a structured digital showcase for Odisha’s MSMEs, featuring One District One Product (ODOP) products, geographical indication (GI)-tagged items, artisan clusters and small enterprise units. The platform is intended to provide organised access to national and international digital commerce opportunities and to streamline outreach for producers. Stakeholders added that the portal could support artisan enterprises and cluster development across the state.

The initiative aligns with central programmes such as Digital India, Make in India and Vocal for Local and is positioned as part of the state’s broader economic strategy. Officials said the move aims to improve competitiveness, inclusivity and the market visibility of micro, small and medium enterprises. Implementation measures will focus on technical onboarding, cataloguing of products and facilitating buyer linkages.

Authorities expect the digital showcase to attract buyer interest domestically and from overseas, while enabling small producers to access curated market intelligence. The state will monitor uptake and report on outcomes to refine the programme.
