Palghar Secures Rs 50.97 bn in Investment Proposals

Palghar district received investment proposals totalling Rs 50.97 billion (bn) at the District Investors Summit 2026, with the package expected to generate 7,830 jobs. The summit at the District Planning Committee Hall concluded with 95 memoranda of understanding and participation from more than 350 investors, entrepreneurs, industry representatives and government officials. Organisers described the outcome as a sign of growing investor confidence in the district.

The proposals span sectors such as metals, recycling, chemicals, packaging, engineering, textiles, electrical goods, construction materials, pharmaceuticals and food processing. Major proposals included Rs 3.25 bn from Sky Green Recycling Industries Pvt Ltd, Rs 3.00 bn from Aero Plast Packaging, Rs 2.50 bn from MPCL Industries, Rs 2.25 bn from Vstar Metal Industries and Rs 2.00 bn from Gujarat Copper Alloys, together accounting for about Rs 13.00 bn.

Forest Minister and Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik emphasised that industrial growth must translate into better education, healthcare, employment and quality of life while being pursued without compromising the environment. He urged industries to control air, water and noise pollution amid rising temperatures and extreme weather linked to climate change, and asked local bodies, teachers and voluntary organisations to engage in tree plantation and social forestry.

Officials said projects such as the Samruddhi Mahamarg, the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high?speed rail, highway and rail upgrades and Vadhvan Port are expected to strengthen links to major economic centres and boost exports, logistics and manufacturing. Palghar has 49,006 Udyam?registered MSMEs comprising 48,926 micro, 73 small and seven medium enterprises, which together account for 0.185 million (mn) employment opportunities and 297 large industries. Administrators emphasised single?window facilitation for approvals and plans to align skill development with industry needs, focusing on machine operation, welding, electrical maintenance and quality control. Banking representatives briefed entrepreneurs on financing while sessions covered insurance, export opportunities and value addition.
