Panasonic Launches Smart AC Range, Targets 2 Million Units by FY28

Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) has launched its 2026 range of residential air conditioners designed to address India’s extreme weather conditions, focusing on durability, energy efficiency, and climate-resilient cooling solutions. The company also aims to scale its air conditioner volumes to around 2 million units by FY28.

The new portfolio features Panasonic’s DustBuster technology, an auto reverse-flow fan mechanism that expels dust from the outdoor unit, helping maintain consistent cooling performance, improve efficiency, and enhance product durability in harsh climatic conditions.

The 2026 lineup includes 57 new models across various segments and price points, offering a mix of performance, smart functionality, and energy-efficient features. The range spans inverter and fixed-speed models, smart air conditioners, hot and cold variants, and high-capacity solutions aimed at meeting diverse consumer needs.

Hirokazu Kamoda, Managing Director, Panasonic HVAC & CC India, said India’s air conditioning market is witnessing strong growth driven by rapid urbanisation, rising consumer aspirations, and increasingly extreme weather. He noted that the new lineup is designed to deliver smarter, more resilient cooling solutions while supporting the company’s long-term expansion plans through continued investments in technology, manufacturing, and market penetration.

The new air conditioners incorporate advanced features such as the MirAIe smart ecosystem for remote operation and energy monitoring, Matter-enabled connectivity for smart-home integration, and nanoe air purification technology for improved indoor air quality. The units are engineered to operate in temperatures up to 55°C and deliver full cooling capacity at 48°C under test conditions.

Additional features include anti-corrosion coating, copper coils for improved heat transfer, stabiliser-free operation, and AI-powered adaptive thermal comfort for optimised energy use. Converti8 technology enables users to adjust cooling performance levels, while self-cleaning mechanisms help maintain efficiency and extend product life.

The lineup includes 5-star, 4-star, and 3-star inverter models, with the premium 5-star series featuring a new Amaze Facia design. The products are available across retail outlets and e-commerce platforms, starting at ₹32,490.

The launch will be supported by a television campaign featuring brand ambassador MS Dhoni, highlighting the brand’s focus on reliable and resilient cooling solutions for Indian households.
