PM Modi to launch projects worth over Rs 95 billion in Telangana

On November 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel to Ramagundam in Telangana to dedicate and lay the cornerstone for numerous projects totalling more than Rs 95 billion.

The Prime Minister reportedly lay the first stone for the Ramagundam project on August 7, 2016. The Prime Minister's goal of achieving urea self-sufficiency is the impetus for the revitalisation of the fertiliser plant. The Ramagundam factory will produce 12.7 LMT of native, neem-coated urea annually.

Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals (RFCL), a joint venture comprising National Fertilizers (NFL), Engineers India (EIL), and Fertilizer Corporation of India, has been established to oversee the project (FCIL). The task of establishing the new ammonia-urea plant, which required an investment of more than Rs 63 billion, was given to RFCL. Gas will be delivered to the RFCL Plant via the Jagdishpur, Phulpur, and Haldia Pipeline.
