RailTel Wins Major Work Order For Atal Tinkering Labs In Uttar Pradesh

RailTel Corporation of India (RailTel) has secured a work order from the Information Technology and Electronics Department, Uttar Pradesh (ITE Department) for supply, installation, commissioning, training and support services of Atal Tinkering Labs in schools under the Department of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh. The work order, received on nine July 2026 at 14:42 hours, sets a completion deadline of 17 November 2027. The contract covers design, installation and maintenance of educational vocational labs, supply and installation of hardware and training of teachers and other staff. The value of the work order is Rs 185.37 million (mn) including tax.

The order has been awarded by a domestic government entity and encompasses end to end delivery including commissioning and post commissioning support. The scope includes preparation of lab infrastructure, deployment of equipment, integration of learning resources and execution of teacher capacity building programmes to operationalise Atal Tinkering Labs across designated schools. RailTel will undertake site surveys, procurement, installation, testing and handover in accordance with departmental specifications and timelines. The contract envisages a structured training curriculum and ongoing maintenance support.

RailTel has indicated that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity and that the contract does not constitute a related party transaction. The company confirmed that the award is a standard commercial engagement with no affiliated party participation and that reporting timelines were adhered to. The disclosure has been made pursuant to the SEBI listing regulations and the company has provided the requisite annexure detailing material terms and conditions. The work order acceptance follows internal approvals.

The announcement was issued with the approval of the executive director and company office and is recorded as a computer generated advice requiring no signature. RailTel has placed the information on record with stock exchanges in line with regulatory obligations to ensure transparency. The company will proceed with project mobilisation and coordination with the department to meet the contractual milestones and compliance requirements.
