Rampura Agucha Becomes India’s First Zinc Mark Certified Mine

Hindustan Zinc Limited has said that its Rampura Agucha Mine has become India’s first Zinc Mark certified mine, marking a significant step in responsible production. Hindustan Zinc said it will pursue additional Zinc Mark certifications across its operations.\n\nThe certification will bolster customer confidence in transparent and traceable supply chains as global buyers place greater emphasis on production governance. Hindustan Zinc supplies sectors including steel galvanisation, infrastructure, automobiles, renewable energy, electronics and advanced manufacturing where demand for responsibly produced and low-carbon materials is rising. The company presented the Zinc Mark as a means to help customers meet evolving ESG commitments and regulatory expectations.\n\nHindustan Zinc, a Vedanta Group company, is the world’s largest integrated zinc producer and ranks among the top ten silver producers globally.
