Refex Secures Rate Contract For Ash Transportation

Refex Industries Limited (RIL) has secured a slab-wise rate contract from a major power producer, a Maharatna company, for ash transportation to construction sites of road projects managed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and other central or state road construction departments including the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The award was disclosed to stock exchanges through a regulatory filing dated August 18, 2026. The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Regulations and the SEBI Master Circular.

The scope of work covers excavation and loading of pond ash from an ash dyke and transportation by mechanical means using closed and covered vehicles equipped with spillage and fugitive-ash controls. The services include unloading at designated chainages of road projects and at flyover embankments and other government-approved construction sites. The containment and handling measures are designed to prevent environmental contamination and to meet contractual and statutory standards. The rate contract is slab wise and intended to support multiple project locations under government road construction programmes.

The contract has a tenure of 12 months and the broad consideration is approximately Rs 274.75 million (mn), inclusive of goods and services tax. This value reflects conversion from the originally stated figure in crores.

The contract is with a domestic entity and does not involve any interest of the promoter, promoter group or group companies. The company has clarified that the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction and is not within that ambit. The company indicated that standard corporate governance protocols governed the award and its recording. The arrangement is therefore recorded as an arm's length commercial engagement.

The company secretary and compliance officer authorised the disclosure and requested that the information be taken on record and disseminated on the exchanges. Market regulators and investors will have access to the filing via the exchanges' dissemination platforms. The filing referenced the BSE scrip code 532884 and the National Stock Exchange symbol REFEX.
