RMC Switchgears Secures 12 Orders From Telangana Utility

RMC Switchgears Limited has informed stock exchanges that it has received 12 letters of award from Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited for the supply of low-tension (LT) distribution boxes valued at Rs 24.44665 mn. The orders aggregate to Rs 2,44,46,650 as per the contract documents and represent a material addition to the firm order book. The company noted that the contracts were granted by a domestic state distribution utility and relate to standard LT distribution equipment.

The awards comprise 12 separate purchase orders issued under letters of intent and are restricted to domestic contracting. Execution is to be completed within 12 months of commencement as specified in the disclosure. The company stated that promoters and related parties have no interest in the entity that awarded the contracts and the transactions do not amount to related party transactions.

The disclosure follows requirements under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations and the company has appended the detailed annexure to the filing. The purchase orders are for supply and are not for construction or installation services.
