SAMPANN Pension Portal Integrated with DigiLocker

The SAMPANN pension portal, developed by the Office of the Controller General of Communication Accounts (CGCA), has recently been integrated with DigiLocker under the Government of India’s Digital India programme. The move enables pensioners under the Department of Telecommunications to securely access essential pension documents anytime and anywhere.

Through the integration, pensioners can retrieve e-Pension Payment Orders, gratuity sanction orders, commutation payment orders and Form-16 directly via their DigiLocker accounts. The facility ensures secure, paperless access to verified documents, supporting services such as banking, medical reimbursements and official verification without the need for physical copies.

Shri Ashish Joshi, Principal Controller of Communication Accounts, Delhi, stated that the initiative enhances transparency and convenience while reducing time and resource burdens for pensioners. He added that the integration strengthens digital self-reliance and aligns with the government’s vision for paperless, pensioner-centric governance.

Pensioners can activate the service by logging into the DigiLocker portal using Aadhaar authentication and linking their PPO number. Dedicated helplines and the SAMPANN portal continue to provide support.

SAMPANN is a flagship digital platform of the Department, digitising the entire pension lifecycle from case processing and disbursement to accounting and grievance redressal. The system allows pensioners to receive payments directly into bank accounts, submit life certificates, generate e-PPOs, update personal details and register grievances remotely, eliminating the need for visits to banks or government offices.
