Airfloa Rail Secures Rs nine point two zero eight million Order

Airfloa Rail Technology Limited has secured a Rs nine point two zero eight million (mn) order from Indian Railways, awarded by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, for the supply and installation of stainless steel nose cones for railway coaches. The disclosure was filed with the Bombay Stock Exchange under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and adds to the company execution pipeline in the railway engineering and rolling stock components segment. The company said the contract covers the supply and installation of nine sets of stainless steel nose cones for MEMU, DMC and JK(944) coach types and is expected to be executed within 12 months.

As per the filing annexure the contract will be governed by standard Indian Railways tender conditions and related contractual terms and the company outlined a staged payment structure for the project. 90 per cent payment will be released against PRC and inspection certificate documentation, with the remaining amount together with installation charges payable after certification by the Mechanical Department. The order therefore provides measurable short term work for the engineering team and production facilities.

The announcement was reflected in trading where Airfloa Rail Technology shares rose two point two eight per cent to Rs 343.00 on the BSE at 12:29 pm IST on May seven and traded in a session range of Rs 332.00 to Rs 344.95. Market participants noted that equipment and component manufacturers are seeing increased procurement activity as Indian Railways advances modernisation and rolling stock upgrades. The contract win was described as strengthening the company revenue visibility for the coming year.

Airfloa Rail Technology operates in the railway engineering and rail component manufacturing segment and supplies specialised products and engineering solutions for rolling stock and coach related applications. Stainless steel nose cone systems are used in modern coach structures to support aerodynamic efficiency and to integrate front end equipment. The order is expected to strengthen the company project pipeline and reinforces its positioning in a sector benefiting from sustained infrastructure investment.
