The State of Odisha has forged a strategic partnership with the Global Stainless-Steel Expo 2023 (GSSE) with the aim of positioning Odisha as the global 'Stainless Steel Destination.' This collaboration comes in response to the surging interest from the stainless-steel industry in investing in Odisha. Odisha's remarkable economic growth has propelled it to become the fastest-growing economy in India and the nation's leading producer of stainless steel, contributing over 20 percent of the country's crude steel production capacity.

The partnership with GSSE presents Odisha with a unique opportunity to engage with over 150 stainless steel producers and an impressive contingent of 10,000 distributors, stockists, and industry end-users hailing from 25 states and 30 countries. These stakeholders will converge at this monumental expo.

Three Firms Bid for DPR of Bengaluru–Tumakuru Metro Corridor

Three consulting firms have submitted bids for the preparation of the detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed Bengaluru–Tumakuru Metro corridor, which will extend up to Tumakuru from Madavara.
