This conference will also witness some intriguing case studies shared by industry experts with a primary focus on the increasing use of steel in construction. Some of the interesting case studies to be presented include ‘Roadblocks in use of Structural Steel for Construction in India’ by Pankaj Gupta, Founder & CEO, ROARK Consultants; ‘Steel in Bridges in Roads & Railways: Chenab Bridge’ by Afcons Infrastructure; and ‘Steel in Mega Infra Projects’ by National Highways Logistics Management Ltd.

Amid this august gathering of industry stalwarts, FIRST Construction Council will release its ‘6th TMT Rebar Report’. Pratap Padode, Founder & President, FIRST Construction Council believes that a healthy dialogue within the industry is needed to set the course for the future. He believes that, "India's economic growth has a great upside in terms of capacity and per capita consumption of steel. Decarbonising steps reflect the maturity of the industry and its long-term sustainability. The government needs to balance the need for the domestic industry to grow vis-a-vis the international prices such that other dependent industries in India are not bearing the burden."

The audience profile comprises more than 150 top developers, architects, infra planners, structural engineers, global and domestic steel producers, mining companies, decision makers of steel producers, policymakers, technical heads and steel plant heads, technology providers, steel industry associations, researchers and scholars, domestic and international banks.

Along with the practical agenda, the conference also offers a close look at the innovative and sustainable products available in India today.

It is certainly a not to be missed gathering for all the steel professionals.
