As per reports, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has asked GMR Group to construct a 600-acre airport city with an exhibition area, convention hall, star hotels, malls and hospitals. GMR Ggroup also manages Telangana’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

It is known that a review meeting was also held for the ongoing airport expansion programme. Works on the runway is expected to be completed by 2020, and as per reports, if all goes according to the plan, the Chief Minister will be laying the foundation stone for the 600 acre airport city.
