BIAL signs deal with ACES India for mobile infra services

Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), operator of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport), signed an agreement with ACES India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems Company (ACES) for providing mobile infrastructure services such as 5G for 10 years.

It will create a modern and intelligent environment for passengers, travellers, residents and visitors of BLR Airport for ten years.

CEO of ACES, Dr Akram Aburas, said that the company plans to expand across the region as International Neutral Host Champion. The company will equip the telecom infrastructure of the airport to include all the latest and intelligent technologies providing mobile services, securing better coverage and improving the user experience by increasing mobile internet speeds in the airport and across the service areas of the project.

CTO of ACES, Dr Khalid Al Mashouq, said that the company is committed to providing the latest mobile telecom network service for public use and thus supporting social and commercial activities to passengers at BLR Airport throughout the year.

This airport infrastructure is considered one of the most prestigious projects. BIAL Management partnership with ACES aims to equip and develop infrastructure with the latest wireless communications services.

BIAL began operations back in May 2008 and plays a major role in driving the economy of the region, offering connectivity across the key destinations in India and the globe, and has welcomed 33.65 million passengers in a calendar year (CY) 2019. BLR Airport is considered the Best Regional Airport in India and Central Asia at the 2020 Skytrax World Airport Awards. It won the Best Airport Staff in India and Central Asia at the 2021 Skytrax Awards. It is the only airport to win ACI-ASQ awards for three successive years.
