Kalyani Group eyes world’s largest artillery manufacturing facility

Kalyani Group, based in Pune, announced plans to build the world's largest artillery production factory in India, capable of producing one gun every day.

Currently, the group makes six firearms every 30 days. "The initial capital investment has already been made. "We need to boost the volumes now," Kalyani said at the DefExpo 2022 in Gandhinagar.

Kalyani added that the firm has the technology to make lighter firearms with the same firepower as heavy guns, and that the trend for 'shoot-and-scoot' weaponry is spreading globally.
