Noida International Airport appoints ICAD Holding as MSI consultant

To become the first greenfield digital airport in the nation, the future Noida International Airport (NIA) near Jewar has chosen ICAD Holding Ltd as its Master System Integrator (MSI) consultant.

According to the DigiYatra strategy of the central government, paperless processing would be implemented at all checkpoints as part of the airport's digital objectives.

Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) told the media that ICAD would assist the facility with the systems integration design, integration programme management, and integration of ICT and Airport Systems as part of its mandate.

The company, which specialises in the design, installation, integration, and maintenance of information and communications technology (ICT) systems needed to set up a contemporary, digital airport, will also take the lead in implementing and integrating the primary airport systems.

Incorporated as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to develop Noida International Airport is YIAPL, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swiss developer Zurich Airport International AG.

YIAPL said that with the adoption of cutting-edge technology to provide a smooth and largely contactless flow through the airport, supported by integrated systems, services, and the use of technologies like indoor navigation, passenger flow management, and data analytics, NIA would set a new benchmark as a digital airport.

According to the media sources, ICAD has collaborated solely with Wipro Ltd. and Ross & Baruzzini from the USA to offer comprehensive MSI consultation services to YIAPL.

Ghassan Sayegh, CEO Group, ICAD, told the media that as the 45th airport project that ICAD has taken on globally, they will work closely with NIA to deliver India's most cutting-edge, integrated, and eco-sustainable airport, opening their window of opportunity to offer their expertise and services to the East.
