Vistara adds 12 aircrafts in last 21 months

Vistara airlines told the media that it has over 50 aircrafts with more than 12 aircrafts added in 2021 despite Covid-related disruptions.

Its aircraft have flown 30 million passengers since 2015 in domestic and international markets.

Vistara has a 51:49 joint venture (JV) between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines and started its international routes in August 2019.

Even after the aviation crisis, the airline continued to grow towards its vision and long-term expansion plans, expanding its fleet to over 25% by 2020, having 51 aircraft now.

The fleet of Vistara includes Airbus A320, A320neo, A321neo, Boeing 737 and Boeing 787 planes.

It has significantly expanded its global network to seven zones, including Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Vistara said that it registered 3.3% growth in its market share from 2020, 4.2% growth in July 2020, to 7.5% growth in November 2021.

It added that in the last two years, it introduced several products and services, including board wifi connectivity, gate-to-gate services, flatbeds in Airbus A321neo aircraft and Boeing Dreamliner 787.
