Yeida Clears Rs 17 Billion Road To Link Noida Airport, Greater Noida

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida) has approved a Rs 17 billion project to construct a 25-kilometre road linking Greater Noida West’s 130-metre-wide road with the upcoming Noida International Airport, significantly improving connectivity from Ghaziabad and Greater Noida West.

Officials said the new road will pass through several recently developed sectors in Yeida’s Yamuna City before reaching the airport. The authority has decided to engage the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the road’s construction.

According to Yeida CEO R.K. Singh, the alignment of the road is nearly final, and land acquisition is expected to commence shortly. “The authority will spend Rs 17 billion on this project, of which Rs 14 billion will be used for acquiring land across villages including Sirsa, Aleda, and Thora, before the alignment reaches the airport,” Singh said.

The corridor will serve as the first eastern connectivity route to the Noida International Airport, complementing the existing western approach via the Yamuna Expressway. It will provide direct access to the airport’s aviation and cargo hub from Char Murti Chowk in Greater Noida West, extending up to the proposed Palwal–Khurja Expressway.

The land acquisition plan covers approximately 812 acres, while construction costs are estimated at Rs 3 billion. Yeida and the Greater Noida Authority are also jointly planning a 3-kilometre link road to connect their respective corridors, ensuring uninterrupted access to the airport.

This secondary link, beginning near Sirsa village and extending towards Alauda, will run along several Yeida sectors, skirting the airport’s cargo and aviation zones before merging with the Palwal–Khurja Expressway.

Officials added that the new corridor will run parallel to the Yamuna Expressway but on the opposite side of the airport terminal, helping to ease traffic and enhance commuting convenience for residents of Greater Noida, Greater Noida West, and Ghaziabad.
