AMC to Complete 200 Roads by 31 Dec After CM Directive

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has recently accelerated its citywide road construction and resurfacing programme following a directive from Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The corporation aims to complete work on 200 roads by 31 December, supported by 13 asphalt plants operating round the clock and an average daily output of about 7,000 metric tonnes of resurfacing material.

So far, 32 roads have been finished, while the remaining stretches are being expedited through continuous coordination between zonal engineers and the Road Project Department. Quality checks and on-site inspections have also been intensified, including verification of hot-mix surfacing on major corridors such as the 30-metre-wide road from Nirvana Party Plot to the Sardar Patel Ring Road zone.
