Cabinet Clears Rs 1,853 Cr Four-Lane Highway in Tamil Nadu

The Union Cabinet has approved the four-laning of the 46.7 km Paramakudi-Ramanathapuram stretch of NH-87 in Tamil Nadu at a cost of Rs 1,853 crore under the Hybrid Annuity Model. The project will ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity between key towns and economic zones.

The highway links five NHs and three SHs, and connects to Madurai airport, Rameshwaram port, and major railway stations. It is expected to generate 18 lakh+ person-days of employment and boost tourism and trade in the region.

HILT Policy Seen Boosting Telangana Revenue Sharply

The Hyderabad Industrial Land Transformation (HILT) Policy is expected to generate around Rs 1.08 billion in revenue for the Telangana state exchequer, according to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.
