Ceigall India is Lowest Bidder for Punjab NHAI Project

Infrastructure firm Ceigall India Ltd has been declared the lowest bidder for a major highway project in Punjab by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the company confirmed. The project involves constructing a six-lane greenfield bypass for southern Ludhiana, stretching from NH-44 near Rajgarh village to the Delhi-Katra Expressway (NE-5) near Ballowal village. This bypass will form a crucial part of the Ludhiana-Ajmer Economic Corridor and will be executed under the hybrid annuity model in Punjab.

The NHAI had estimated the project cost at Rs 864.97 crore, while Ceigall India’s bid stood at Rs 923 crore. The same project had initially been awarded to Ceigall India in June 2022 for a bid of Rs 702 crore, but it was revoked due to issues with the construction site’s availability.

Ceigall India, which has expertise in building elevated roads, flyovers, bridges, and highways, has evolved from a small firm into a prominent player in the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) industry. It has successfully completed numerous road and structural projects over the past two decades.
