Ceigall India JV Emerges L1 Bidder for Arunachal Highway

Ceigall India Limited's joint venture with Sushee Infra and Mining has emerged as the lowest bidder for a road construction contract with an awarded cost of Rs 7.047 billion (bn). Ceigall India holds a 74 per cent stake in the joint venture while Sushee Infra and Mining holds the remaining 26 per cent. The contract was floated by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways under competitive bidding.

The scope covers construction of the road from km 85.60 to km 168.00 of the Lada-Sarli section of NH-913, part of the Frontier Highway, to an intermediate lane standard under an engineering, procurement and construction mode. The project carries a construction period of 48 months followed by a five-year maintenance period. The award is being executed under an EPC contractual framework.

Ceigall India stated in a regulatory filing that the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and that neither the promoters, promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding authority. The company added that the contract does not qualify as a related-party transaction. The joint venture mix reflects a majority holding by Ceigall India.

Ceigall India is an infrastructure engineering, procurement and construction company engaged in highways, expressways, bridges, flyovers, railway overbridges, tunnels and runways. The company executes projects under EPC as well as the Hybrid Annuity Model and has noted a strong track record of timely execution across multiple Indian states. Its consolidated net profit rose 70.85 per cent to Rs 1.266 bn on a 37.06 per cent increase in revenue from operations to Rs 13.8651 bn in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 versus the prior-year quarter.

The scrip declined 2.30 per cent to Rs 371.80 on the BSE following the announcement. The project will strengthen regional connectivity along the Frontier Highway corridor in Arunachal Pradesh.
