Gadkari to lay stone of Kanpur ring road project on Jan 8

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone of the 93.2 km long Kanpur Ring Road project of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on January 8.

After receiving information from the ministry, the NHAI officials swung into preparations on war footing. The ministry informed the project directors of NHAI through e-mail about Gadkari?s arrival at programmes organised at Rae Bareli, Kanpur and Unnao districts.

On January 8, he will first inaugurate the Lalganj-Unnao four-lane highway in Rae Bareli. From there, the Union Minister will reach Kanpur, where he will lay the foundation stone of NHAI?s ambitious Ring Road Road Project. He will also inaugurate Kanpur-Aligarh GT Road four-lane road and Chakeri-Prayagraj six-lane road.
