Government laid 3,385 km national highways in FY22: MoRTH

On Saturday, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) told the media that it built 3,385.02 km of national highways in the financial year 2021-22.

Additionally, the ministry said that the construction pace was at 21.8 km per day, and it happened despite the Covid-19 pandemic and monsoon.

MoRTH built 3,385.02 km of national highways in the current fiscal year 2021-22, whereas it granted projects of 3,068.26 km of national highways during this time. The construction pace was at 21.8 km per day.

Recently, Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, told the media that infrastructure development is significant for the country, and the government aims to attain the pace of 100 km per day in highway construction.
