H.G. Infra Engineering Secures Rs 39.31 bn Road Project

H.G. Infra Engineering has received a Letter of Award from Welspun Enterprises for a road project in the state of Maharashtra, the company announced on 11 May 2026. The project covers the construction of a six-lane including partially elevated highway corridor and improvement of the existing road between kilometre (km) 10+600 and km 64+000, corresponding to Section Pune to Shirur of NH753F. The minimum design length is 53.40 km. The stretch is part of national highway infrastructure that supports intercity connectivity in the region.

The company bid project cost is Rs 39.31 billion (bn) and the project construction period is 36 months. The value in crore terms was Rs 3931.11 crore, which equates to Rs 39.31 billion using standard conversion. The contract specifies delivery within the three-year construction schedule. The agreement sets out contractual milestones and performance obligations to be met during the construction period.

The work comprises corridor construction and roadway improvement, including partially elevated sections and associated infrastructure along the designated stretch. The scope listed in the Letter of Award indicates design and construction responsibilities for the minimum design length of 53.40 km between the specified kilometre points. The project will involve coordination with state authorities and adherence to contractual timelines. The contractor will be responsible for compliance with applicable technical and safety standards throughout execution.

The award supplements H.G. Infra Engineering's portfolio of road projects and contributes to the company order book for ongoing and upcoming works. The corridor is intended to strengthen connectivity in the Pune to Shirur corridor and support regional movement of goods and people. The company will proceed with mobilising resources and project management arrangements to commence construction under the agreed schedule. The project will involve mobilisation of labour and local supply chains as part of on site operations.
