India Aims to Lead Global Auto Industry: Gadkari

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, stated on Wednesday that the government’s mission is to make India’s automobile industry the top in the world. Speaking at an event, he emphasised the sector’s significant contribution to employment, having created 45 million jobs — the highest in the country.
Gadkari highlighted that the size of India’s automobile industry now stands at Rs 22 trillion, underscoring its pivotal role in the nation’s economy. He added that the future of Indian industry is very promising, with the automotive sector playing a key role in driving growth and innovation.
