Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway Fully Operational by Mid-March

The construction of the final 76-km stretch of the 701-km Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway is now complete, and the entire route will be open to vehicles by mid-March, according to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). Currently, 625 km of the expressway, connecting Igatpuri near Nashik to Nagpur, is already operational.

The expressway, initiated by Devendra Fadnavis and announced in November 2015, was developed in 16 stages with the involvement of 16 construction companies. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is still working on a connecting road to the expressway, while MSRDC has set March 10 as the deadline for completing remaining tasks.

Once fully accessible, the expressway is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Mumbai and Nagpur, enhancing connectivity and boosting economic development in the region.
