New Vhalshim-Vathadev Bypass Road opens

Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister, inaugurated the 4.2-km-long Vhalshim-Vathadev bypass road at Bicholim. He mentioned that the road, which is anticipated to reduce travel time between Mapusa and Sanquelim by 6km, consists of four bridges, two culverts, two flyovers, and one underpass. Bicholim MLA Chandrakant Shetye and Mayem MLA Premendra Shet were also present during the inauguration.

In his speech, the CM remarked that the road had been completed within a record time of 500 days and emphasized its potential as an industrial corridor. He also mentioned plans for future projects, including the construction of the Assonora-Mulgao bypass road and the road connecting the Latambarcem industrial estate to Mopa airport. Additionally, he announced upcoming initiatives such as the establishment of a new bus stand and a building for the fire services in Bicholim. The CM added that the government is planning to develop a comprehensive administrative complex for the area.
