TDP MP urges MoRTH to construct three flyovers to avoid congestion

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Kesineni Srinivas Nani urged the Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, to develop three new flyovers from Mahanadu Junction to Nidamanuru Junction to ease vehicular traffic on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway-16.

The MP also thanked the Minister for constructing flyovers connecting Benz Circle, Nirmala Convent and Ramesh Hospital Junction.

The construction of flyovers could have reduced traffic congestion between Mahanadu and Nidamanuru.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) proposed a 6.5 km long elevated corridor between the junctions, which is not practical given the higher cost of land acquisition for the project.

Besides the elevated corridor, the MP urged the Minister that the construction of three flyovers at Mahanadu Junction, Ramavarappadu Junction, and Enikepadu Junction would be feasible.

Gadkari said that the proposals for constructing the three flyovers are under consideration.
