46% completion of Pune Metro line 3 work

The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority's (PMRDA) metro project, which is intended to connect the IT hub of Hinjewadi with Shivajinagar, is making rapid progress. It was reported by officials that 715 pillars out of the planned 923 on the 23.3-km stretch have already been installed.
According to the officials, the metro work has achieved a 46 percent completion rate up to this point.
Pune Metro Line 3 represents an elevated rail project that links Hinjewadi with the central part of Shivajinagar. This project is being executed through public-private partnerships. The consortium comprising Tata Group's Trill Urban Transport Private Limited (TUTPL) and Siemens Project Ventures has been awarded the project by PMRDA. For a period of 35 years, the project will be developed and operated by Pune IT City Metro Ra, a special-purpose company, based on a build, operate, and transfer basis.

Alok Kapoor, the chief executive officer of Pune Metro Line 3, mentioned, "The construction of pillars and pile cap work for Pune Metro Line 3 has also reached its final stage. These pillars have a diameter of 2,000 mm and have been constructed in accordance with the design parameters of the metro rail system."
Rinaj Pathan, who is the chief superintendent engineer at PMRDA, stated, "Approximately 46 percent of the overall work has been completed."
The 715th pillar of the metro was put in place on Ganeshkhind Road near Krishi Mahavidyalaya Chowk last Thursday. Interestingly, after the casting of the initial pillar on Ganeshkhind Road in April of the previous year, the milestone of 700 pillars was reached in 17 months.
The ambitious double-decker flyover, which includes the metro on top and a vehicle bridge below, was originally scheduled for completion by November of the following year. However, efforts are underway to complete the project three months ahead of the deadline.
