Jupiter Wagons secures Rs 9.57 billion railways contract

Jupiter Wagons announced that it had secured an order of approximately Rs 9.57 billion from the Railways for the production and delivery of 2,237 wagons. The wagon manufacturer revealed in an exchange filing that the offer letter had been received from the Ministry of Railways.

According to the company, the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), in its letter dated March 6, had extended an offer to Jupiter Wagons for the manufacturing and supply of 2,237 BOSM wagons, with a contract value of Rs 9.57 billion.

Jupiter Wagons, based in West Bengal, specialises in the production of various types of railway wagons and accessories. The company is also involved in the manufacturing of containers, commercial vehicle load bodies, and commercial electric vehicles.
