Oman Air Cargo To Expand India And Europe Network Capacity

Oman Air Cargo said it will add network capacity to destinations including India and several European points in the coming days as it adjusts operations amid regional airspace restrictions. The carrier has suspended services to Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and Dubai while longer routings affect schedules. It indicated that extra belly hold capacity will be added through new flights linking Oman, the United Kingdom, Europe, India and Asia.

It warned that flights across the remainder of its network may be delayed as a result of extended flight paths and that operations will be reviewed as clarity emerges on airspace availability. The company said it is rescheduling affected consignments and will contact customers to confirm the status of their cargo. It stressed that staff safety remains the priority and that coordination with relevant authorities and airport partners is under way to maintain necessary precautions.

Industry observers noted that the carrier is seeking to preserve connectivity for freight flows and to mitigate disruption by deploying additional capacity where feasible. The adjustment to belly hold services is positioned as a tactical response to restrictions that have led to the suspension of several regional sectors. Logistics arrangements and timetables are being revised to ensure continuity for exporters and importers who depend on the route network.

Meanwhile DP World, the global ports and logistics operator, reported that all terminals at Dubai's flagship port remain fully operational while enhanced security measures continue to be implemented by authorities and port management. The company said terminal operations will be monitored closely and that contingency plans are in place to sustain throughput. Market participants will watch developments as airspace decisions evolve and as carriers adapt capacity to changing conditions.
