The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) will soon establish a construction and demolition (C&D) waste processing plant to process the building waste collected in the city. The CCMC is reportedly scouting for a suitable location to set up the plant and the Vellalore dump yard is most likely to be finalised. One collection point will be set up in each of the five zones in the city. The plant will be built at a cost of Rs.20 million under the SWM Fund.
