Shalimar Paints launches premium Xtra Tough Hi-Sheen

Shalimar Paints has expanded its premium product portfolio with the launch of Xtra Tough Hi-Sheen, a new exterior emulsion developed to provide enhanced weather protection and a high-sheen finish for residential buildings.

The company said the product is designed to address growing consumer demand for exterior coatings that combine aesthetics with long-term durability. Suitable for both new construction and renovation projects, the emulsion is formulated to withstand varied climatic conditions, including heat, rain, humidity and pollution.

Xtra Tough Hi-Sheen features a dust-repellent coating intended to minimise dirt accumulation on exterior walls, along with anti-algal and anti-fungal properties to protect surfaces exposed to moisture. It also incorporates UV and Sun Reflect Technology, which helps reduce heat absorption and protect painted surfaces from fading caused by prolonged sunlight exposure.

The product is available in more than 2,000 shades and is backed by an eight-year performance warranty.

Commenting on the launch, Kuldip Raina, Managing Director and CEO, Shalimar Paints, said consumer preferences in the exterior paints segment are shifting towards products that combine visual appeal with long-term performance. He added that the company expects performance-led innovation to play a greater role in purchasing decisions as the premium paints segment continues to evolve.

With the launch, Shalimar Paints aims to strengthen its presence in the premium exterior coatings market while expanding its portfolio of performance-oriented products for the residential sector.
