KELTRON invites bids to supply multi-crystalline solar modules

Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KELTRON) has issued a tender for the supply of 1,604 multi-crystalline solar modules with a 330 W output for a 1 MW solar project in Ramakkalmedu in Idukki, Kerala.

The bids must be submitted on or before July 2 and will be open by July 5. Interested bidders must submit a cash deposit of Rs 1.1 lakh.

In addition, within seven days of receiving the letter of award, the successful bidder must provide bid security equal to 5% of the total contract amount.

The winning bidder will be required to provide a five-year warranty on the items supplied. If a faulty module is discovered during the warranty period, it must be replaced with a module of the same rating or higher and with the same dimensions.

Materials should be delivered within 20 days of the purchase order being placed.

The bidder must provide a module rating over 330 W to attain a total capacity of 529 KW.

Interested bidders must go through a selection process to be eligible to bid. The bidder should have supplied 800 kW of 330 kW multi-crystalline solar modules.

Furthermore, the bidder must have at least two years of experience supplying multi-crystalline solar modules and not be on the blacklist of any state or government agency.

According to Keltron, the proposed solar modules must have valid IEC 61215, IEC 61701, IEC 61730, and IEC 62804 certification, and the conversion efficiency must not be less than 17%.

The solar modules should work well in humidities up to 100% and temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C.

Electrical degradation is expected to drop by 10% after 10 years and 20% after 25 years.

According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy standard specifications, the rated output power of any supplied module should be more than 3%.

The tender is restricted to accept modules manufactured by RenewSys, PV PowerTech, Vikram Solar, LV Solar, Waaree Solar, and Mundra Solar.
