Essar Energy to buy 1,050 MW project from Navbharat

Essar Energy has decided to buy Navbharat's power project with an estimated capacity of 1,050 MW. The coalfired thermal power plant is to come up at Meramundali and Kharagprasad villages in Dhenkanal district of the state. The project has been accorded a coal linkage by Coal India.
