BREDA invites bids for 1 MW of hybrid rooftop solar projects in Bihar

The Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) has floated a tender to install 1 MW of hybrid rooftop solar projects with a net metering facility under the capital expenditure (capex) model at several government buildings in Bihar.

The scope of work comprises installation, design, supply, and commissioning of hybrid (solar with battery storage) rooftop solar projects, including a net metering facility for a total capacity of 1 MW having a category size of 2 kW to 10 kW and 11 kW and more below the capex model. The winning bidder would also have to take care of the project's maintenance activities for five years.

The bids will be opened on September 01, and the deadline to submit the bids online is August 31, 2021.

The bidders who are interested should submit an amount of Rs 200,000 as an earnest money deposit. The bidder who is successful should provide BREDA with a contract performance guarantee of 10% of the contract price for the due performance of its obligations under the contract within seven days of the work order.

The rooftop system must be installed, supplied, inspected and commissioned within 90 days from the day of the issue of the work order.

The bidder must have successfully implemented a cumulative capacity of at least 150 kW of grid-connected solar power projects or off-grid solar power projects in India during the past three years to take part in the bidding process.

The minimum average annual turnover of the bidder must be at least Rs 20 million for the three best financial years out of the last five financial years. The bidder must have a positive net worth at the close of the previous financial year.
