ENGIE Secures 100 MW Solar Project from SECI

ENGIE India has secured a 100 MW solar project from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), further enhancing its footprint in the country’s renewable energy sector. The project, awarded under SECI’s competitive bidding process, will contribute to India’s on-going efforts to expand clean energy generation and reduce carbon emissions.

The solar plant will be developed on a build-own-operate basis and is expected to generate power sufficient to meet the needs of thousands of households. ENGIE’s investment in this project aligns with its global strategy to accelerate the transition towards carbon neutrality through large-scale renewable initiatives.

The company currently operates more than 1.5 GW of renewable capacity in India, spanning solar and wind projects across multiple states. With this latest win, ENGIE aims to further solidify its position as a key player in India’s clean energy market, supporting the nation’s goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.
