EPI Issues EPC Tender For 250 MW Solar Project In Rajasthan

Engineering Projects India (EPI) has issued an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) tender for a 250 megawatt (MW) alternating current (AC) grid-connected solar project in Rajasthan near the 220 kilovolt (kV) Bikaner IV substation at Ambaran. The package includes land, construction of a transmission line and operation and maintenance (O&M) services for three years. EPI will participate only in the EPC work for 250 MW out of a 500 MW tender. Expressions of interest (EOIs) are invited until June 15, 2026.

The scope specifies an EPC package with land for development of up to 250 MW AC photovoltaic capacity, inclusive of transmission infrastructure and three years of O&M under PSPCL ET 3. Contract validity is 180 days from the date of opening of the price bid, with provision for mutual extension. Bidders must submit an expression of interest and an earnest money deposit of approximately Rs two million (mn), refundable. The tender is issued by SJVN Green Energy Limited under a two-bid system.

The invitation seeks online EOIs to select a contractor or associate for a pre-bid tie-up for the upcoming EPC package and sets out qualification and bid submission requirements. EPI reserves the right to seek extensions of validity and to apply contractual conditions stated in the tender documents. The location adjacent to the 220 kV Bikaner IV substation should ease grid connectivity and reduce transmission works. Prospective contractors will need to assess site conditions and transmission routing against the tender schedule.

The tender presents an opportunity to secure land and transmission infrastructure for a utility-scale solar installation and to provide three years of O&M services. Interested parties must align technical and financial proposals to the two bid process and meet the stipulated timelines. The refundable earnest money deposit seeks to ensure serious participation while allowing bidder flexibility. Stakeholders are advised to note the June 15, 2026 closing date for EOIs and to prepare pre bid arrangements accordingly.
