Goa to set up 40 EV charging stations

The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) invites expressions of interest cum bids for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of 40 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at various locations in Goa. The charging stations will be commissioned on a design, build, operate, finance, and transfer basis under the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME II) programme.

The project’s estimated cost is Rs 32 million ($392,792). The last day to submit the bids is December 29, 2022. Bids will be opened on January 3. The scope of work includes the supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the EV charging stations.

According to the terms of the bid, successful bidders must undertake all other works required for the execution and functioning of the charging stations. Interested bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 640,000. However, the startups can pay a concessional amount of Rs 80,000 as EMD. The tender processing fee and registration fee to be paid is Rs 18,000.
