JSW Neo Energy Wins 200 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Project

JSW Energy announced that its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy, had been awarded a letter of award (LoA) for establishing a wind-solar hybrid power project by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL). The project, which has a capacity of 200 MW, was secured by JSW Neo Energy through a tariff-based competitive bidding process, according to a statement from JSW Energy.

Following this capacity award, the company's total locked-in generation capacity has risen to 17.2 GW, which includes a total locked-in hybrid capacity of 2.9 GW (including FDRE), the statement noted.

JSW Energy's total locked-in generation capacity now stands at 17.2 GW, consisting of 7.5 GW operational capacity, 2.3 GW under construction across wind, thermal, and hydro sectors, and a renewable energy pipeline of 7.3 GW (with PPAs signed for 2.3 GW).

The company anticipates increasing its installed generation capacity to 10 GW by FY25, up from the current 7.5 GW. Additionally, JSW Energy holds 4.2 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and hydro-pumped storage projects.
