L&T Secures Ultra-Mega ADNOC Offshore Order Worth Over Rs 150 bn

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured an order worth more than Rs 150 billion (bn) from ADNOC Offshore for a major project in West Asia. L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) will lead a consortium that will develop and upgrade multiple offshore facilities under the contract. The award has been described by the company as ultra-mega given its scale.

LTEH Offshore will undertake the major share of the project scope, covering engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of offshore facilities and associated upgrades to existing assets. A significant portion of fabrication will be carried out at L&T's fabrication yards, drawing on the group's integrated engineering and EPCIC capabilities. The arrangement is intended to leverage in-house skills and a dedicated marine fleet owned by the business. The consortium structure will position LTEH Offshore to coordinate subcontractors and manage onshore and offshore interfaces.

The company did not disclose the precise order value but noted that orders above Rs 150 bn are classified as ultra-mega. The chair and managing director, S N Subrahmanyan, said that the award reflected client trust in L&T's engineering excellence, project execution capabilities and commitment to delivering complex energy infrastructure safely and on schedule. He added that L&T remained committed to supporting the UAE's energy ambitions through innovative, sustainable and world-class offshore solutions.

LTEH Offshore provides engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning solutions for the offshore oil and gas industry, supported by in-house engineering capabilities, fabrication facilities and a dedicated fleet of marine vessels. The business has delivered shallow-water and deep-water field developments across geographies over four decades. Its project experience encompasses fixed platforms, subsea pipelines and structures, brownfield upgrades and decommissioning work. The company's yards and marine assets are intended to support large fabrication modules and complex offshore integrations.
