NTPC crosses 1 GW annual capacity mark in RE segment

National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), the country's largest power generator, has added 1074.59 MW of renewable energy (RE) capacity in FY23, bringing the total NTPC non-fossil capacity to 9.41 per cent.

With the successful commissioning of the entire capacities of the 150 MW and 90 MW Devikot Solar PV Projects in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, the projects have been declared operational with effect from December 13, 2022.

As a result, NTPC's standalone installed and commercial capacity has increased to 58,041.27 MW, while the group installed and commercial capacity has increased to 70,656.27 MW.
