NTPC Green Adds 100 MW to IRPL’s Renewable Capacity

NTPC Green Energy has announced the commencement of commercial operations of 100 megawatts (MW) at the 500 MW plant operated by IRCON Renewable Power Limited (IRPL). With this expansion, IRPL’s total operational capacity has increased to 400 MW.
IRPL is structured as a joint venture, with Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited holding a 24 per cent stake. Ayana is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, which itself is a 50 per cent joint venture of NTPC Green Energy.
Following the latest capacity addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) Group now stands at 7,372.575 MW.
