NVVN Floats Tender for 1 MW Rooftop Solar Project at DRDO Jodhpur

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has invited bids to set up a 1 MW grid-connected rooftop solar project at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) campus in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

The last date for bid submission is October 7, 2025, with opening scheduled for October 8, 2025. Bidders must provide a bid security of Rs 500,000.

Scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, civil works, erection, testing, and commissioning, along with 10 years of operation and maintenance (O&M). Contractors must also install monitoring systems, cleaning arrangements, rooftop access ladders, safety equipment, and ensure compliance with net metering and grid approvals.

To qualify, bidders must be Class-I or Class-II local suppliers, ensuring 50% and 20% minimum local content respectively.

The tender follows NVVN’s earlier move in July 2025 to empanel EPC contractors for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects of up to 20 MW per vendor.
