Oriana Power Limited has secured a domestic solar EPC contract worth Rs 945.1 million (mn), including GST, for the development of ground-mounted solar projects across Bihar, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing with the National Stock Exchange under the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements. The contract was awarded by Bellwether Energy Pvt. Ltd., directly and through its group entities BW V Energy, BW I Energy and BW III Energy, and Oriana Power will provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for projects with a total capacity of 25.138 megawatt (MW), equivalent to 31.423 megawatt-peak (MWp). The projects are to be developed across eight locations in Bihar, including Barhat, MangoBandar, Shankarpur, Murliganj, Goradih, Dhuraiya, Jagdishpur and Manikpur. The company will be responsible for executing the full EPC scope associated with these sites and coordinating multi-site delivery. The regulatory disclosure signed by the company secretary, Tanvi Singh, indicated that the entire order is scheduled to be completed within six months from the date of issuance of the letter of award, imposing a relatively tight execution timeline across multiple sites. Oriana Power clarified that neither its promoters nor its group entities have any interest in the entities awarding the contract, and that the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction. The order strengthens Oriana Power's growing portfolio of utility-scale solar projects in India and expands the company's presence in Bihar's renewable energy market. It also underscores continued demand for solar EPC services as clean energy development accelerates across the country, and it is expected to add to the company's near-term order book and revenue visibility. The delivery will require mobilisation of equipment, supply chain coordination and local workforce engagement to meet the six-month deadline. Successful execution would reinforce the firm's operational credentials in the utility-scale segment.
